Tornado Death Toll in Kentucky Reaches 24

The Kentucky toll from the March 2 tornadoes has risen to 24 with the death of a Laurel County woman.

The Lexington Herald-Leader said 37-year-old Mary A. Pruitt died Friday as a result of injuries during the storm. The tornado destroyed the mobile home she shared with her mother, 64-year-old Ethel Pruitt, who also died.

Mary Pruitt had been in critical condition at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital since the tornado.
