A Delta jet that was preparing to take off from Tulsa International Airport for a flight to Atlanta has run off a taxiway and is stuck in grass alongside the taxiway.
Airport spokeswoman Alexis Higgins says the plane was leaving the runway onto the taxiway Thursday morning when the nose gear went into a grassy area and became stuck. A crane has been called for to lift the jet out of the grass.
No injuries are reported and the 47 passengers on board were taken back to the terminal and will be booked onto later flights.
The flight number is 5038 and was scheduled to leave Tulsa at 6 a.m.
A Delta spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
