EVERY deep fryer comes with INSTRUCTIONS. If people are too stupid or lazy to read them, let them go ahead and overfill the fryer with oil, heat the oil to a couple hundred degrees higher than it should be, and throw a frozen bird into it. Hopefully, the morons will set themselves on fire. Let the natural selection process run its course. I am opposed to protecting idiots from themselves.
For those mental midgets that just have to deep fry a turkey once a year (so they become experts)…..don’t forget to pluck the feathers before you put the bird in the fryer. SAE 30 is recommended as it will last for at least 3 Thanksgivings before you have to change it.

What happens if u put in a frozen bird?
I’ve never fried a turkey, but I would think if you dunk a frozen bird, as the bird thaws and cold water hits the hot oil, the oil will splatter.
I think Doug is playing dumb to get a reaction.
either that or maybe Doug has never fried a turkey before, sorry
Doug…….step away from the fryer & set the bird and tongs down gently. Sorry, couldn’t resist. Have a great & safe Thanksgiving!
