A Birmingham, Alabama woman was placed in the county lockup after she was charged with multiple crimes that included identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and trafficking in stolen identities.
Attorney General Troy King said in a statement Tuesday Tiffany Lidge was arrested on Monday.
The AG said a grand jury in the Bessemer Division returned a 16 count indictment against Lidge on March 25.
Prosecutors declined to disclose any information about Lidge’s allged crimes.
It was unclear if Lidge has retained an attorney.
