Authorities say they arrested 17 people in their late teens and early 20s that caused about $75,000 in damage at a foreclosed Fort Myers home during a party over the weekend.
Deputies responded to a call about possible burglary Friday evening and found several vehicles in the home’s driveway. Deputies say people inside tried to flee when they saw law enforcement, but their vehicles were blocked in. Deputies inspected the home and found that every room had some type of destruction, including broken windows, smashed plaster and graffiti.
The 10 minors at the party were charged with loitering and prowling and possession of alcohol by a minor. Seven adults were charged with 10 counts each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of loitering or prowling.
