As the remnants of Hurricane Ike blew through Tennessee, high winds pushed over a tree and killed two golfers at a Nashville golf course on Sept. 14.
Emergency crews responded to a call at the Hermitage Golf Course at around 9 a.m., WKRN-TV in Nashville reported.
The tree fell on two men who were sitting in a golf cart on the 16th hole. The names of the men have not been released by authorities.
The National Weather Service warned of wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour in Nashville.
Ricky Taylor, a spokesman for the Nashville Fire Department, said the two men were extricated quickly but they were both pronounced dead at the scene.
