The claims are piling up in Florida as Tropical Storm Fay is knocking on the Panhandle’s door.
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation compiled and released the latest numbers from some of the state’s highest volume insurers.
As of 8 a.m. on Aug. 23, Citizens Property Insurance Corp. reported 1,605 homeowners’ claims.
State Farm reported 3,956 homeowners’ claims and 766 auto claims at 8 a.m. on Aug. 23.
Universal Property & Casualty reported 702 homeowners’ claims as of 4 p.m. Aug. 22.
USAA received 431 homeowners’ claims and 79 auto claims by 8 p.m. on Aug. 22.
OIR said Allstate is not yet reporting claims received for public disclosure, per corporate directive.
