A train has derailed in Sumner County, Tennessee, spilling cargo and taking out buildings in its path.
Crews were still cleaning up Aug. 17, after 17 cars ran off the track.
Hendersonville, Tenn. Fire Department Chief Jamie Steele says that if there has to be a train derailment “this is the type to have.” Most of the cars that derailed were carrying automobiles.
Steele says there was only minor risk of hazardous materials being spilled.
