Firefighters battled flames for four hours after lightning struck a $3 million mansion on Florida’s east coast.
Officials said lightning likely struck the chimney of the 8,000-square-foot Merritt Island home. More than 60 firefighters responded to the blaze but were forced to flee from the structure because the second floor collapsed.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
