    Shame on You!
How dare you insult human beings that were victimized by Katrina.
Easy for you to point your finger because you are not what you pretend to be.
In fact you are lower than…Bin Lauden! He did not pretend to be American.
So, you are saying that Katrina Winds did none of the damage?
You even use God to denounce Katrina Victims but you,
MRS LB, should get off of your high horse and look into the mirror.
You are dishonest and You think that you are Better Than…
    However, you are Lower Than.
Shame on you. God does not like ugly.
You are kicking people when they are already down and out,
Just to defend the Insurance Industry that turned their back on their own.
Since you are a great authority, tell us how you can tell wind damage
From water damage? Prove it too! Show the evidence not the loop holes in the policy.
Why do we pay for hurricane insurance when the benefits
Only pay ABOVE THE WATER LINE…
Minus your Policy Deductible and the Hurricane Deductible?
Let them sell those policies in Iraq.
    Wonder how they would react?
It would be appropriate for YOU to be the Head of Claims Department in Iraq.
Bet you would be singing a different tune…immediatel

    Dear American Woman,
It was not me, Mrs LB, who posted all those nasty remarks about us Mississippians being trailer trash and whatnot. We live directly on the Gulf Coast, 2 miles from the beach. We were heavily damaged from the surge FEMA mapped out that we would never have to worry about.
I, too, am appalled by what \”miss adjuster\” wrote concerning \”ignorant, welfare, trailer trash folks who deserve no better\”. In fact, I am indignant and will post a reply to that person next.
If you review all the former posts, you will see that you and I are on the same page and both have suffered great loss.
PLEASE do not put me in the same catagory as THAT piece of liberal trash who wrote all that horrible stuff about us.
Their day will come and then they hopefully will be as grateful as we all are for the generous outpouring of love and help from people unlike him/herself.
I am sure you see now that I HATE insurance companies and have been saying for years it is not the government, but the insurance companies, who have been running this country.
And to anyone else who reads this post, just a little info on this family of \”trailer trash\”: Husband- Retired with Full Honors from 21 years US Military, now a Medical Helathcare Provider, Wife-30+ years as Healthcare Provider and other jobs depending on duty station, 2 adult children. 1 who works as does her husband, keeps a clean home and is married with 1 child. Other is still in college and works every weekend to pay his own way. (no FASFA grants or any others. It comes straight out of his pocket!)
We even elected to pay 66% taxes on our unlivable home for 2005 because our city and county need the cash so bad to stay in business. We could have had it re-appraised at damage value and paid about 20% normal taxes.
So, trust me, living in a trailer is NOT our idea of a dream home!
American Woman, take heart! We Mississippians have already shown the world what strength and fortitude, as well as personal pride, we are capable of
    experiencing.
    God (He\’s my friend, too)Bless!
    Mrs. LB

    TO \”miss adjuster\”
    YOU OBNOXIOUS POMPOUS JERK!
Here you are chastising me to READ my policy when it\’s apparent that you can\’t even conjure up the mental capability to click onto previous posts and respond to the right information and remarks! I have already stated here that I understand I get nothing for the surge damage, but when an adjuster pokes a hole in your ceiling to see if the shredded-off roof allowed rain in, then says \”I\’m not going to pay for that [hole]\”, I think I have the right to be a little bit angry.
And HOW DARE you say such things about us Mississippians. As in every state, there are those who choose to laze about, procreate and live off the government.
DO NOT DARE include me or my family in that catagory. We have worked hard all our lives, have taken no handouts until this terrible tragedy, and in fact, went on a mission trip this past summer to help others in need even though our home is still only about 50% repaired. I am not patting us on the back, but I am STANDING UP TO YOU AND YOUR MISGUIDED STEREOTYPICAL OPINION OF MISSISSIPPIANS.
YOU ARE WRONG AND YOU OWE US AN APOLOGY! We have shown you and the world that we have the strength, fortitude, and brains to get our lives back to normal. With much thanks to all the wonderful volunteers, but none to the adjusters who get fat bonuses for declining payment on NON-WATER realated damage.
Your day will come and then hopefully you will be as grateful as we all are for the generous outpouring of love and help from people unlike yourself.
I am sure you see now that I DESPISE insurance companies and have been saying for years it is not the government, but the insurance companies, who have been running this country.
And to you and anyone else who reads this post, just a little info on this family of \”Mississippi trailer trash\”:
Husband- Retired with Full Honors from 21 years US Military, now a full-time Medical Helathcare Provider, Wife-30+ years as Healthcare Provider and other jobs depending on duty station, 2 adult children. 1 who works as does her husband, keeps a clean home and has 1 child. Other is still in college and works every weekend to pay his own way. (No FASFA grants or any others. It comes straight out of his pocket!) (And no, we are NOT doctors getting fat paychecks, we are just in the professional medical field, Middle Class Americans barely scraping by!)
We even elected to accept the automatic 33% tax reduction on our unlivable home for 2005 because our city and county need the cash so badly to stay in business. We could have had it re-appraised at damage value and paid about 20% normal taxes. But we felt it was our civic duty to pay as much on the property taxes as we could, FOR THE GOOD OF ALL!
So, trust me, living in a trailer is NOT our idea of a dream home! More like a dreadful nightmare we all want to forget.
You Sir or Ma\’am, are the ignorant one here. Maybe one day you will have the pleasure of watching everything you own wash out the front door with the water, have everyone in your family end up with serious infections from the putrid, toxic waters, poisonous spider bites, and last but certainly not least, have the joy of living for over a year in an 8\’ x 30\’ trailer with at least 3 adults in it. (And we\’re some of the lucky ones. We know of families with 4 teenagers and 2 parents who live in the same size trailer.)
As I have stated in the past on this thread, when one reads one\’s insurance policy thoroughly, 2 things happen:
    1) One can barely understand the legalese language unless one is an attorney and
2)Every page pretty much cancels out the other. I have already stated that I KNOW I didn\’t have flood coverage (thanks to the advice of FEMA and my insurance agent-who also lost his business and home, and he didn\’t have flood insurance either!).
My biggest complaint all along has been how the insurance industry has so many loopholes and has been denying obvious wind damage by blaming it on water. There are cases right here of homes being blown to bits BEFORE the surge came in, verified on video, and since water hit that area, the adjusters say it was all water damage. Unless, of course, they had flood insurance. Then it\’s a battle between the 2 to see who pays the least. Those who did have flood insurance are really having a tougher time getting any money at all!
YOU HAVE INSULTED ME AND EVERYONE WHO SUFFERED LOSSES DUE TO KATRINA. YOU OWE US ALL A HUGE APOLOGY. Sorry if the only people you met with here were beneath your snobbish personal standards, but again, you obviously did not meet the rest of us.
SO, you go have a nice life and cozy up with all your insurance policies. Just wait until \’The Big One\’ hits you and see what happens!
God Bless You and EVERYONE who came to help because they are good, decent, helping, and loving people, obviously unlike YOU!
Mrs. LB PS- You haven\’t even begun to see what Dicky Scruggs is going to do to the insurance industry. You won 1 case. Big whoop! There are THOUSANDS more out there and they are going to be heard all over the place. One day there will be a judge who is reasonable enough to see that the insurance companies won\’t even pay on honest legitimate, and easy-to- verify claims. Dicky is a FORCE to be reckoned with, so be watching out!
    GOD BLESS AMERICA

    MS LB,
I am sorry for lashing out at the wrong person. It\’s that Miss Adjuster that has called us names. I wish we had her real name because I would like to take notes when the wrath of God hits her.
You and I are on the same page.
    Please accept my apology.

Your day will come. I only wish you had the character to use your real name because I would like to see the bad luck that will follow you. You are a Coward!
Perhaps your Parents did not teach you any manners. So, I would like to invite you to a town meeting where Mississippi Red Necks will gladly give you a Red ***!

We Are Americans & This is Our Land.
We Paid & We Trusted Insurance Companies to Financially Protect Our Homes especially for Hurricane Destruction.
Why do we have a hurricane deductible ?Why does that coverage only pay above the water line? Smells like Theft by Fraud?

    SUGGESTION:
    I suggest that the city of Waveland/Bay St.Louis & more become SELF-INSURED.
    Sell a HURRICANE POLICY:
    Including wind and/or water damage.
    (avoiding legal fees next time)
Take the business away from the Insurance Industry, they don\’t deserve our premiums.
    (their punishment)
If we get another hit before enough money in escrow, Simply, allow FEMA to bail out the cities instead of the Insurance Industry.
By Cutting Out the Agent & thier Commission, This would generate more money than the city could count.
This would be the best asset to bring to the table in order to help the cities that were destroyed.
I would proudly pay higher premiums to our city because I certainly resent paying one cent to the companies that turned their back on us when our homes were destroyed.
We Are \”The People\”, The Working Americans
    The Homeowners of the USA.

The love of money has caused corruption and it\’s out of control.
