The West Virginia Insurance Commission has approved Government Employees Insurance Company’s (GEICO) rate filing that was submitted earlier this month to the West Virginia Insurance Commission.
GEICO requested approval for a 1.9% rate decrease for its private passenger automobile insurance customers, beginning with those policies that renew after the new rates take effect July 8, 2005.
GEICO is reportedly lowering its auto rates in light of recent insurance and civil justice reforms passed by the West Virginia Legislature.
