Miami Agent Gets Licenses Revoked

April 1, 2003

An insurance agent charged with failing to return a refund to a customer and with writing worthless checks has lost his license to sell insurance.

The Florida Department of Financial Services has revoked the insurance and adjuster licenses of Pablo Antonio Santos, Jr., of 18130 SW 137th Path. Santos, 38, was charged in January with failing to return a refund issued to a customer and with writing $2,860 in worthless checks to Finco Financial Group. Finco has since obtained a judgment against Santos in the amount of $5,250 for the worthless checks and other debts owed by him.

Santos has been licensed as a general lines agent and an independent all-lines adjuster since 1995. His licenses are revoked for a period of two years, after which he may reapply.
