Police in Bartlesville, Okla., are searching for burglars who broke into several vehicles, including what police say is a “law enforcement” vehicle in which weapons and a bullet-proof vest were taken.
Police say an assault rifle, a shotgun and the vest were stolen from the law enforcement vehicle. The law enforcement agency that owns the vehicle was not identified.
Police say several vehicle burglaries occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and that several vehicles in the area on the city’s northeast side. Bartlesville police investigator David Hackler said the area has been the site of several vehicle burglaries in recent days.
