Mercury Insurance, now in its seventh straight year of sponsoring the Los Angeles Dodgers, today announced new partnerships with the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves for the 2013 season.
“Our Dodger sponsorship has worked extremely well for us, so we wanted to expand that success to other markets,” said Erik Thompson, Mercury advertising director. “Baseball attracts millions of dedicated fans who remain glued to their TV screens and in their stadium seats while supporting their favorite teams. And we’re thrilled to begin building relationships with Braves and Padres fans in addition to our longstanding support of the Dodgers. It’s a great opportunity to broaden exposure for Mercury’s products and services.”
Mercury’s sponsorships allow baseball fans in Los Angeles, San Diego and Atlanta to see firsthand how their current insurance companies compare to Mercury. In exchange for a few minutes of their time, Mercury will give them a complimentary pair of Dodgers, Padres or Braves tickets.
Mercury will support the promotion through announcements on Facebook and Twitter, as well as online banner ads, TV spots, live radio reads and in-stadium signage (e.g., posters, LED Boards). Additionally, the promotion will be featured in each teams’ e-newsletters and email blasts.
