A tornado has damaged several homes on Grand Isle, La., but officials say no injuries have been reported.
Jefferson Parish Councilman Christopher Roberts said the tornado touched down Wednesday afternoon on the west side of the island, where it destroyed a mobile home and damaged seven buildings, including a real estate agency office.
Roberts says the twister also left many Grand Isle residents with power outages.
National Weather Service meteorologist Shawn O’Neil says two water spouts were spotted in the area before the tornado touched down at about 2:40 p.m.
