A convenience store company is suing a Duncan-based security firm after more than $150,000 was discovered missing from ATMs throughout Lawton, Okla.
Carey Johnson Oil Company, Inc. or EZ GO Stores, filed suit last week in Comanche County District Court. The civil suit accuses of A&H Security, Inc., of violating its contract with the convenience stores to keep money safe in the ATMs.
The lawsuit claims that $154,700 is missing from the ATMs and the company wants the security firm to repay that money plus interest. Police are investigating the missing money but no one has been arrested.
Representatives with A&H Security could not be reached for comment early Thursday.
Police Capt. Craig Akard tells the Lawton Constitution that police discovered money missing from more than 20 ATMs.
