Authorities say four men have been injured in an explosion at a business in south Edmond, Okla.
Edmond firefighter Kelly Lewis told reporters at the scene that one suffered third-degree burns and the others suffered first-degree burns in the blast at Tuboscope about 9 a.m. Thursday. He said there are chemicals at the business – but he didn’t know the type and said the cause of the blast was not known. He said a hazardous materials unit was on the scene as a precaution.
The manager of a business across the street from Tuboscope said there were no evacuations.
A phone call to the company was answered by a recording that said the company is unable to take calls.
The company’s website says Tuboscope is involved in the oil pipeline business.
