Tulsa and Oklahoma City are among the top cities in the nation for having structurally deficient bridges.
A national study released Wednesday shows Tulsa is the worst area in the nation among cities of its size when it comes to bridges that need repair.
The Tulsa World reports that the Transportation for America study says 27.5 percent of Tulsa bridges need repair.
Oklahoma City also ranked as the worst for structurally deficient bridges in its category of metro areas from 1 million to 2 million people.
Gov. Mary Fallin earlier announced a plan to fix the state’s deficient bridges by 2019.
