An Austin attorney has filed a lawsuit claiming he’s had to end his law practice because of an injury he suffered while attending a concert at the South by Southwest festival earlier this year.
The Austin American-Statesman reports that attorney Richard Patrick Fagerberg was one of several people injured in March when a large mechanical arm and a video camera fell on him and several others.
Fagerberg’s suit says he suffered a serious head injury and now doesn’t have the mental capacity to work as an attorney.
A publicist for South by Southwest says Fagerberg’s injuries were not a result of anything done by the music festival. Several others, including the man operating the camera and the company hired to film the concert, were also sued.
