Rimkus Consulting Group, a forensic engineering consulting firm in the U.S., has announced the creation of a Digital Forensics Division based in Houston, Texas.
The new division, opened in 2010, will provide a full range of services in the electronic discovery space. Services will include early case assessment, electronic evidence collection, and forensic-level analysis. In addition to technical and consulting services, they will also provide expert reports and testimony.
David Sandlin, Rimkus Consulting Group’s Division Manager, has over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology and electronic discovery, including performing investigations involving electronic evidence stored under a variety of operating systems. His investigations have involved acquisition and preservation of electronic data in all forms and recovery of both accidentally and purposely deleted files, as well as the detection of use of “disk wipe” utilities.
