Fire destroyed a restaurant in historic downtown Waxahachie and left several other buildings damaged.
No injuries were reported in the blaze early at the 1879 Chisholm Grill.
Fire Chief David Hudgins says the roof and second floor collapsed, allowing the blaze to spread.
A neighboring law office, barber ship and antiques store also were damaged.
The cause of the fire is sought.
Waxahachie is 25 miles south of Dallas.
