A fleet of arson trailers built by a Houma, La., fire equipment company will help the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office investigate suspected arson cases across the state more quickly and effectively.
Five Alarm Fire Apparatus gave six new trailers to the agency. Each 10-foot-long trailer is equipped with a generator, lights, ladders, a wheelbarrow, chainsaw and other gear essential to arson investigations.
Each will be used in a different region.
Joel Domangue, chief of emergency services for the State Fire Marshal’s Office, says the trailers will help everyone in the state of Louisiana.
Fire officials the trailers will let firefighters do just that, without having to use department equipment to investigate the cause.
