A 43-year-old Arlene Reed Salameh of Rayne, La., will serve five years of a 10-year prison sentence for stealing more than $250,000 from her employer, Insurance Liquidators Inc.
Salameh was accused of stealing from the Lafayette office of Insurance Liquidators, a company that deals with auto salvage auctions.
Authorities arrested her in 2007 on counts of theft, six counts of forgery and seven counts of filing false public records.
She pleaded guilty to felony theft in April. In return, the state dismissed the remaining charges.
