Two workers have been injured in a crane accident at Cleco Corp.’s Rodemacher power plant near Boyce, La.
Both workers are employed by The Shaw Group Inc., which is building the $1 billion plant expected to open this summer.
A Shaw spokesman says one worker suffered a serious injury Jan. 20, but it apparently is not life-threatening. Another worker sustained a minor injury.
Shaw Power Group Senior Vice President Bruce Davis said a piece of a large crane broke away while a worker was performing maintenance, and the worker who sustained the serious injury jumped out of the basket.
