CLARA Analytics has launched Agentic Intelligence, what the company calls “an end-to-end AI workforce” for complex casualty and workers’ compensation claims.
The new product is built into the company’s CLARAty.ai platform, assigning a team of AI agents to individual claims from first notice of loss (FNOL) through resolution. According to the company, adjusters stay in control of decisions.
The system gives adjusters access to where a score came from and how current underlying data is. Agents add context and reasoning to the intelligence delivered to claims and actuarial professionals, according to CLARA.
The company said its new product removes friction, and elevates judgment so claims teams can focus on complex, high-value decisions.
CLARA is an AI as a service provider that offers products and services for insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers and self-insured organizations.
Cozmo
Cozmo AI introduced an AI product for property/casualty claims, which is purpose-built for restoration networks and third-party administrators.
In an early deployment, Cozmo AI reduced property damage estimating from one to two days to under 10 minutes and cut the cost per estimate from roughly $100 to $200 to less than $50, according to the San Francisco-based company.
Cozmo AI deploys “AI employees” to handle operational work from FNOL to invoice settlement. Agents capture claim information and dispatch the work, then follow up on documents, interpret field documentation, prepare estimates and communicate with the relevant, according to the company.
Cozmo AI works across existing claims and communications platforms as well as CRMs and core claims systems.
Cozmo AI is backed by Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital and Rebel Fund.
Finch
Finch has launched what is calls a “full-claim intelligence platform” that combines historical claim records, live inbox activity and analysis across the life of a claim.
Finch connects to inboxes and builds a continuously updated claim record, matching relevant emails and attachments to the correct claims, extracting key information and connecting that to a claim’s full history. Finch then compares estimates, documents and claim data to identify overlooked facts, remaining questions, missing line items, unseen costs and inconsistencies, according to the company
The company says the platform has analyzed 315,000 documents from more than 15,000 property claims. In a sample comparing carrier estimates with those prepared by public adjusters, Finch it identified an average difference of nearly 50%.
Finch has raised $4.5 million from focal, Company Ventures, Veridical Ventures, TipTop VC and Aglaé Ventures. Finch is initially available to public adjusters and public adjusting firms working across residential and commercial property claims.
Shift
Shift Technology introduced Shift Claims, a product powered by agentic AI that is designed to assess and prioritize cases.
The product also guides and assists claim handlers and automates tasks across the claims lifecycle.
The Paris-based company said the new product improves accuracy and lowers claims losses and handling costs while delivering better experiences for policyholders.
Shift’s insurance-trained large language models have proven effective at information extraction, document summarization and classification, and liability determination for subrogation and recovery. Its agentic AI enables LLMs to access and use a set of tools that can take autonomous, task-specific actions, according to the company.
The company said early adopters report 3% lower claims losses, 30% faster claims handling, a 60% overall automation rate and greater than 99% accuracy in claims assessment.
