Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group named Sharon Duez Shaw vice president and head of claims.
Shaw joined the Pharmacists Mutual as part of a planned leadership transition from Peter Lambert, senior vice president, who will retire effective March 31, 2027.
Shaw has experience building claims organizations, leading enterprise claims strategy, modernizing litigation and trial strategy and partnering across underwriting, actuarial, and finance functions.

Shaw previously served as chief claims officer for Vela Insurance, a W. R. Berkley company. Before that, she spent 14 years with AXIS Capital in a series of executive leadership roles.
Pharmacist Mutual is headquartered in Algona, Iowa. The company provides specialized insurance products through its underwriting companies and wholly owned national insurance agency PMC Advantage Insurance Services Inc.
