Snap Inc. said it has reached a tentative agreement to settle the second case set for trial over claims that the world’s largest social media platforms are addictive to minors, leaving only Meta Platforms Inc. to face a jury starting next week in Los Angeles.
The terms of Snap’s tentative settlement were not disclosed Monday. Google’s YouTube and TikTok previously reached accords with the plaintiff, known as “R.K.C.”

A Snap spokesperson confirmed the agreement but had no further immediate comment.
The four platforms are facing more than 3,000 individual complaints from users or their families alleging that their products are addictive and cause harm. The first case went to trial in February in California state court and a jury found Meta and Google liable for a 20-year-old woman’s mental health struggles, awarding her a total of $6 million in damages.
