Gallagher named Alex Michon area president, Rachel Burnett area chief operating officer, Joe Kirksey managing director of the crop practice group and Laila Brabander president of private client.
Michon will launch the new Sacramento satellite office.
Michon’s area of specialization is in the healthcare space, specifically managed care and regulatory risk. Prior to joining Gallagher, Michon was president at Lockton in Sacramento, California. He has managed property/casualty, employee benefits and transaction liability risk.


Burnett was senior vice president of the Sacramento Branch at Lockton, where she worked with clients dealing with complex and international risk.
Her expertise lies in various sub-specialties such as clinical trials, kidnap and ransom, business travel accident and cyber.
Kirksey helped start the P/C department at The Kirksey Agency and went on to grow the crop insurance book.


Gallagher acquired The Kirksey Agency in of 2020. Kirksey has worked to build Gallagher’s crop department.
Brabander formerly served as s head of North American personal lines claims and client and producer engagement at Chubb.
Prior to that, she was chief underwriting officer of Chubb Canada for all lines of P/C business.
