Pot Producers Are Pushing to Clamp Down on Delta-8 THC

    This is comparable to the “bath salts” that some kids ingested only to find out that the “high” is not comparable at all but mimics psychosis. I have no problem with THC that you get from plants but distilling and manufacturing distort things. I see no reason that anyone should be permitted to market these products. If they want to build a better mousetrap, they should re-examine their business model.

    I think the appeal to these products are more in those states that still ban THC sales and manufacturing (the deep south and mid-west). Until we can get some concise federal laws around the legal status of THC in the USA these gray market loopholes will keep cropping up. I think the UK’s fight with Spice and other like artificial cannabinoids are proof of this. Legalize natural THC, tax it and move on already. We’ve already seen in the initial states that legalized like CO, CA, WA and OR that the sky didn’t fall and drug use didn’t increase.
