Crum & Forster announced that Anthony R. Slimowicz will join the firm as senior vice president and chief claims officer effective June 30, 2014. He will report to Doug Libby, chairman and CEO, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Morristown, N.J.
In 1993, he joined AIG as a director of staff attorneys, providing advice on all aspects of corporate, insurance, environmental and construction law. In 1996, Slimowicz joined Zurich Financial Services and served as vice president and director, eventually reporting to the head of global claim corporate services. In this capacity, he was responsible for claim and risk engineering for environmental, general liability, and surety for both the United States and United Kingdom. He also worked with a wide range of business segments. Most recently, he served as chief legal officer for Coordinated Health in Allentown, Penn., and as chief operating officer for AJS Capital Holdings in Warren, N.J.
He graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law with a J.D. degree.
