ISO recently released revised NetMap for Claims and NetMap for ClaimSearch version 5.0 software.
The software uses visual link-analysis technology to help industry personnel fight fraud in insurance claims. These products analyze an insurer’s internal claims data, data from the ISO ClaimSearch database, and other outside information.
The software employs automated analytical techniques that analyze large quantities of claims data to uncover hidden patterns of fraudulent claims activity that may involve claimants, insureds, internal staff, and service providers, such as doctors, attorneys, and body shops.
NetMap 5.0 includes many enhancements, such as:
- A “circular pathing” feature that reviews multiple indirect connections between parties to find non-random relationships that may indicate fraud
- Improved graphics and presentation capabilities
- Smoother integration of data
- New automated solutions to manage troublesome data
Other enhancements include additional red flags for suspicious claim elements, built-in role-specific scenarios, enhanced user controls with user-selected thresholds and layouts, and enhanced pattern recognition features.
