Bubba, I share your frustration and puzzlement with the direction chosen by the Republican Party. As always seems to be the case, the Party has simply allowed itself to be defined by the Democrat Party. As a result, it is always on the defensive and fighting an uphill and fruitless battle.

It is time for conservatives to either stand up to the progressive wing of the Party or admit the Party is lost forever and become an Independent. The gutless progressives continue to buy into the theory a move to the center and bi-partisanship is the answer even though it has been proven to be a losing strategy.

Is it any wonder the Democrats continue to suggest this strategy to the Republicans? They know a sucker when they see one and are laughing all the way to electoral victories. The naiveté and ignorance of the Party is maddening.

I heard excerpts from recent appearances by Liz Cheney during which she took liberal members of the MSM to task. She took a very effective, but simple approach of challenging the premise of scripted complaints about and criticism of the Bush administration’s methods of keeping the country safe. It was amazing to watch simply because Republicans seem virtually incabable of engaging in a hardcore and principled debate even it requires us to do the unthinkable and challenge the accuracy and truthfulness of the opposition’s position.

It his time to abandon the gutless and unprincipled approach to combat on the political battlefield. We criticize the Democrats for wanting to simply talk to and appease terrorists and ruthless dictators. In reality, a strategy based on weakness and appeasement is exactly what we employ when dealing with Democrats.

Not only does this racist bigot have an inordinant record of reversals, pointing up her lack of legal gravitas, but her racist attitudes and archaic, narrow views of society make her an unaccaptable candidate. It is unimaginable but tragic that any clear thinking human being would give credence to the idea that a one sided and jaded view of society as espoused by this candidate is somehow more enlightened. The facts of Sotamayer’s record clearly suggest otherwise; that it has in fact made her a racist bigot who believes she is superior and must justify that biased notion at all costs to society and its citizenry.

Buckeye. You and your cohorts should move to another country. However, I doubt any country except, perhaps, old German types would have you. Get out of here!

Good morning, Sweet Pea. Thanks for reinforcing my thoughts on the opposition by simply engaging in a personal attack with no desire to engage in a thoughtful debate.

By the way, I love my country and plan to stay. Sorry to disappoint.

Bobby, I thought about asking for something specific, meaningful and credible to support your accusation. However, I decided against it since I could probably script a predictable response.
