I’m thinking a Special Forces commander could kick all of congress’ butts even if he was wearing highheels and a skirt.

GA: once again, handicapped or disfigured people have not electively altered their natural state. I accept them as they are. As someone pointed out, trannys must have some mental/psych issues to go along with trying to be something you aren’t.

Wow Marissa…so unforgiving and unaccepting you are!

The good news is that you are very likely never going to have to be near or speak to this person. Partially due to the type of work that is involved and partially due to the fact that they would not need to enter the dark damp cave that you appear to dwell in.

Doing what He/She did is not my thing either but you are in control of what makes you feel uncomfortable or confortable. The person did not lie awake at night and wonder how he/she could you make you feel. What makes you feel uncomfortable is up to you. If you are squeemish, look the other way.

Scott, thanks for letting us all know the inner workings of the transexual mind. Whatever does not fit your idea of normal is obviously abnormal. I hope you have no power over anyone in your personal or business life. God forbid if they step outside of your line of what is normal.

My co-worker wants to be a dog and I’m all for it as long as he doesn’t start marking my cubical, bark while I’m on the phone or try to breed my leg. What a country!

Wow, I can’t believe that I am actually going to participate in this discussion.

    1) The argument that the LoC & DoJ used was, ‘discrimination because of transsexuality was not illegal sex discrimination under the Civil Rights Act.’
They didn’t go with their ‘second best argument’ here people. If they had believed that his mental state was insufficient for the job, then that should have been their argument in defense of the hiring decision. They went with their best defense here… and it was found to be discriminatory.

    2) The detractors talking about his mental state have no clue about the process for a person to change their gender. To be considered a candidate for gender reasignment surgery, psychotherapy & analysis occurs in order to determine if the patient will be helped by the procedure.

Both of these fact suggest that the plantiff in the suit was completely stable & able to do the job.

This procedure isn’t a botox shot, nor is it a tattoo. This is major surgery which involves some pretty serious determination before even starting the path.

BTW: notice how I failed to call the plaintif anything rude or discriminatory in this response? Perhaps you people should look up the word “tact” in the dictionary.

Fortunately, freaks like this guy are few and far between so there’s no point in getting all lathered up over it. Just because he may have right to challenge the creator and un-do his plumbing doesn’t guarantee the rest of the world has to accept his decision and pretend he’s a real woman. Who wants to be confronted by some dumpy looking tranny with a low voice and perpetual five o’clock shadow in the library of congress? It’s scary. That’s why they stay underground. And nobody ever answered the question of who’s paying for this overhaul. You and I are since he’s a vet and we pay his benefits. Excuse me now, I think I’m going to be sick.
