True Mr. D., however the “Friends of the Geese” advocates and supporters are already having meetings with Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, George Soros, Barbara Boxer, & Al Frankin on legal action and equal rights for Geese. I believe the title of the new bill which will proceed the lawsuit is “Share the Air”. All we can do is wait and hope that in time these birds will have equal protection under the law. The horror that these birds aren’t protected and bird excluders were not introduced or attempted on these airplanes.

Actually it was Bush who started the patriot act, which took away our right to say “Obamasfault”

OK, so I’ve been wondering how it would be possible to prove the airline’s negligence. I don’t think a direct charge that they should have had a flock-avoidance-system or anti-flock-brakes would, ahem, fly, so that’s out. Asserting that the jet engines should be able to withstand a direct hit from a 10 lb bird is also problematic.
But, they may be able to assert that the airlines are major consumers of fossil fuels, which when used create greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming, which throws off the migratory patterns of birds. I mean, what’re a flock of geese doing flying around the Bronx in the middle of January anyway?

I hate those freakin’ Canada geese. They’re complete pests and should be destroyed. Anyone know if they’re edible?

Can the birds bring legal action, I mean there must have been 5 or 6 birds killed by and through the negligence of the pilot. Someone should call Peta.

Yes, they’re edible. And delicious. And legal to hunt in some places.

I actually heard after the plane ditching that the Feds have a mandatory drug test after a crash for the pilots and crew. Would it not have been extreamely funny if they were drunk at the time. Just a little observation.
