Pat, I believe there is a correlation between Clinton and Spitzer, can’t speak for others. You have sitting politicians betraying the public trust. The arrogance of both Bill and Elliot believing they can do as they please, whether treading the legal aspect or doing something illegal. Both are said to very intelligent individuals, but both I think believe they are above the law. Spitzer’s is worse since he built his career on being a bulldog. Clinton just built his career on bull. We don’t need puritans in office, but you must use good judgement and not place yourself in comprising circumstances. We can disagree with that persons politics and that does not make him/her a bad person.

Suspect it just isn’t that uncommon of a name. But in this case, it was a friend/associate with whom he sometimes travels and who contributed significantly to his campaign.
Spitzer’s crminal charges are much more likely to come because of something to do with the money rather than the sex. Johns are rarely prosecuted and even when they are, they don’t serve time and he should not lose his right to his livelihood for this. Otherwise, they can stand out on Hoe Ave in the Bronx on a Friday night (I kid you not) and shut down Wall Street. It’s unreal to see the not just the BMWs and Mercedes, but the cars with babyseats in the back, and the mini-vans. What he did was just at a different price. As the say, the profession is still the same.
