The St. Paul Travelers Companies Inc. announced that Doreen Spadorcia has been promoted to executive vice president, Claims, to lead the company’s claims organization. In her new role, which reports to co-Chief Operating Officer Brian MacLean, Spadorcia has also been named to serve on the company’s management committee.
Most recently, Spadorcia was president and CEO of St. Paul Travelers Bond. Previously, she was president and CEO of Travelers Bond, a position she held since June 2002. From 1994 to 2002, Spadorcia managed the Travelers Bond Claim operation and served as general counsel for the business unit, responsible for legal, regulatory and compliance matters. She joined Travelers in 1986 as an attorney in Claims.
“Doreen’s claim and legal experience, combined with her exceptional leadership skills, make her a highly respected member of the St. Paul Travelers executive leadership team,” said MacLean. “We are very excited that the claim function will directly benefit from her talents, as will the rest of the company through her new role as a member of the company’s executive management team.”
