A central Indiana man is suing a Muncie nail salon, alleging that a pedicure left him with a serious foot infection and the lingering threat of amputation.
Bruce Walters’ suit filed in Delaware Circuit Court seeks unspecified damages for alleged “negligent conduct” and contends the salon failed to properly sanitize the instruments used on him.
Walters alleges a salon employee punctured the skin of his right big toe during a June 2013 pedicure and he later developed a staph infection, sepsis and the skin infection cellulitis.
His suit says he’s undergone five surgeries, suffers from constant pain and faces “the continued risk of amputation.”
Walters’ suit names T-Nails and salon owner Tim Vo.
Vo declined comment. He told The Star Press his attorney would file a response in court.
