Commercial driver license holders in Wisconsin face a Jan. 30 deadline to provide the state with information required by the federal government in order to remain on the road.
The Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles is reminded CDL holders that they must notify the state about whether they operate only in Wisconsin or across state lines and whether they are required to carry a medical examiner certificate.
DMV official Alison Lebwohl says the DMV is concerned some drivers haven’t yet heard about the new requirement or may need more information. She is encouraging commercial license holders to upload the required information to the DMV as soon as possible.
