MMIC, a medical malpractice insurer in the Midwest, has begun conducting business in Indiana. This brings the total number of states in MMIC’s core territory to nine.
“We are excited at the prospect of expanding our mutual company mission and business footprint to another state, and look forward to building a long-standing tradition of MMIC excellence in Indiana,” said president and CEO Bill McDonough. He added that the company’s goals for the new state are to:
- Offer a mission-driven mutual company option to the health care market;
- Offer competitive product and service offerings for all of MMIC’s business segments;
- Maintain our efficient and cost-effective approach to serving clients in the market;
- Create a local presence;
- Provide clients and agency partners with world class service in the areas of claim, risk management, underwriting, sales and health I.T.
