Police in the northern Ohio town of Bucyrus say a truck driver fell asleep and crashed his rig into a downtown business.
Dispatcher Shawn Zeigler says nobody was inside the building when the semi left the road and crashed into the front of a computer repair business just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The crash caused part of the building to collapse.
The driver was slightly injured but did not require treatment. His name hasn’t been released. Police say he’ll likely be cited.
The truck was hauling a trailer with supplies for the Cici’s Pizza chain.
Zeigler says it is common for big rigs to use the road because it is part of a major thoroughfare in the area. Bucyrus is about 70 miles north of Columbus.
