Authorities are kicking off a seatbelt enforcement campaign across Michigan that includes Memorial Day weekend.
The “Click It or Ticket” campaign begins Monday and runs through June 3. Officers will use daytime safety belt enforcement zones and nighttime patrols.
An event to launch the campaign is planned for a General Motors Co. facility in Sterling Heights. More than 160 law enforcement agencies are expected to participate in the patrols.
