It could be a warm Sunday at a Roman Catholic church in Flint, Mich.
Three air conditioners were stolen from the roof of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The Rev. Cecilio Reyna tells The Flint Journal that the units were stolen Thursday night or early Friday morning. He figures the thieves probably spent more than an hour on the roof.
The church has insurance to get new air conditioners, which will cost at least $30,000.
On the church’s Facebook page, the pastor wrote, “God bless and heal those who did it!” Flint-area churches of all faiths have been hit by thieves who take air conditioners or the copper pipes inside them.
