A judge says the University of Nebraska owes a York contractor nearly $64,000 remaining on a contract of nearly $2.1 million for renovations at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports Judge Robert Otte of Lancaster County District Court said in a ruling Tuesday that the university didn’t prove JLC Inc. was responsible for mold damage.
A 2009 lawsuit by JLC said the university still owed nearly $64,000 for work done in 2007. The university countersued, saying JLC didn’t repair all the 2007 damage to South Stadium caused by improper humidity control and water leaks that were JLC’s responsibility.
