Heavy construction equipment stolen in Minnesota has been recovered in Wisconsin.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Department says a Caterpillar excavator backhoe, a Bobcat skid steer, trailers and other pieces of construction machinery with a total value of about $200,000 have been located.
Search warrants were executed late last week at properties in Turtle Lake and the town of Almena where authorities found the missing equipment. A 29-year-old Turtle Lake man is wanted for questioning.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the machinery stolen in four counties in Minnesota has since been returned.
