Northbrook, Illinois-based Alliance Disaster Kleenup (ADK) has been named the winner of the 2011 Phoenix Award by the Restoration Industry Association (RIA).
The award, given for innovation in restoration and reconstruction, was given to the company for its work at Chicago’s Off the Street Club, where the company responded in force after the facility was damaged by multiple thunderstorms and winds in excess of 70 mph. The roof and sprinkler system had been torn away, leaving a 2,000 square foot hole in the top floor of the four-story, 100 year old building. The company’s rapid response began within an hour when it provided a temporary structure that held up after the 22,000 square foot facility was damaged in the first of what turned out to be multiple severe storms. ADK was able to secure the property through the second round of storms, thereby preserving the integrity of the Chicago landmark.
The award was presented at the recent annual RIA convention.
