Former North Dakota Agent Gets Probation, Makes Restitution

November 30, 2010

An insurance agent who conned a Grand Forks, N.D., real estate company into paying for nonexistent home insurance policies has been given four years of probation.

A judge also ordered 44-year-old David Glessner to have four months of electronic monitoring at home.

Prosecutor Thomas Falck told the Grand Forks Herald that Glessner had finished paying nearly $65,000 restitution to Dakota Fusion.

Falck has said that if Glessner stays out of trouble for four years, the felony theft charge will be wiped from Glessner’s record. Glessner had pleaded guilty after a deal with prosecutors.

The state previously revoked the licenses to sell insurance of Glessner and his company MAG Insurance LLC.
