Authorities say a man died after falling about 80 feet into a silo at a northeastern Indiana grain business.
Adams County deputy coroner Leslie Cook says the worker was doing routine cleaning and maintenance when he fell Dec. 29 at Peterson Grain near Decatur.
Emergency crews needed more than two hours to remove the man from the grain inside the silo. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cook said the fall appeared accidental. The man’s name wasn’t immediately released.
