The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) announced a former Celina worker has pled guilty to workers’ compensation fraud.
Fredrick Williams is scheduled for sentencing Sept. 15 in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Williams is currently a resident of Hartford City, Ind.
BWC’s special investigation unit (SIU) was alerted of possible fraud by Williams when a call was placed to a BWC employee by an Indiana resident. The SIU confirmed that he was reportedly working while receiving workers’ comp benefits. Investigators found that Williams was employed as a bartender at Jim’s Tavern in Hartford City, Indiana and was also self employed as a construction worker.
Williams was injured on the job in February 1990. He suffered injuries to his back while working for E.L. Davis Inc.
