The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) announced a Cincinnati woman has pled guilty to workers’ compensation fraud. Emma Hickson was sentenced to probation and payment of court costs.
BWC’s special investigations unit (SIU) was alerted by an anonymous phone call of possible fraud by Hickson. The SIU confirmed that she was reportedly working as a home-health aide for an elderly woman while receiving workers’ comp benefits.
Hickson was injured on the job in July of 1984. She suffered injuries to her neck and back while working for the City of Cincinnati.
