The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) announced a Columbus man has pled guilty to workers’ compensation fraud. Tracy Lackey is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. June 22 in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.
BWC’s special investigation unit (SIU) was alerted of possible fraud by Lackey when the bureau’s automated detection & intelligence team (AD&I) administered a cross match with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. The SIU confirmed that he was working for Transportation Resources and Next Generations while reportedly receiving temporary total disability workers’ comp benefits.
Lackey was injured on the job in December of 1997. He suffered injuries to his lower back while working for 3C Airport Parking – SunPark Inc.
